1) Pragati Pratishthan, Thane, Maharashtra

'Pragati Pratishthan' is a non-government, non-political, not-for-profit organization, registered under the Public Charitable Trust Act and the Societies Registration Act (1860). Pragati Pratishthan is an NGO, striving towards collective integrated development in Jawhar Tehsil for the last 30 years.

This organization was created as an initiative taken up by Shri Vasantrao Patwardhan who traversed the region extensively on foot and was deeply moved by the living conditions of tribals. He started by providing medical facilities in Mokhada Tehsil of Thane district.

2) Sanjeevani Seva Trust, Uttar Kannad, Karnataka

Sanjivani Seva Trust, was started in February 2012 in Joida Taluka, Uttar Kannada District of Karnataka. Its trustees, Mr Ravindra Redkar, Sunil Desai, Jayanand H Derekar and Sarla Desai have been active social workers in the region in and around North Karnataka for several years.

Some of its early interventions have been in the area of health. Sanjivani currently runs a mobile health clinic in Joida among other activities. Many villages in the Joida taluka are within forest areas and have not been connected to the grid. Sanjivani aims to help solve this problem using decentralized renewable energy solutions like Solar, Small Wind Turbines etc.
